About the Photographer
When you order a print from me, you can be assured you are getting the very best image of its kind that money can buy. I put a lot of work into my images, every step of the way, beginning with the camera equipment I use, which is top-of-the-line and state-of-the art. There are no compromises made, anywhere. As such my pricing on each printed image reflects not just the cost of my photographic gear, nor on the printers I use; my prices also factor-in a full panacea of different efforts that went into play in order to create and produce the final product I am making available. Images of the kind and quality you will receive from me simply cannot be duplicated with phone cameras, common printers, or instant processing software. Aside from my investment into the equipment used to obtain the image, when the countless hours spent out in the field are added-in (not to mention additional time spent in making adjustments to the final image via the finest post-processing software available), my pricing on these fine-art prints is in fact quite understated.
I offer a two week 100% money back guarantee. If you are not completely satisfied with the print, I will refund you fully (without any questions) for any print returned in new condition within two weeks of purchase. As I recognize that you have not seen the finished print prior to your purchase, I offer this unconditional, time-limited guarantee because I truly do want you to be pleased with your purchase. Your only expense would be the return shipping costs.
REPLACEMENT GUARANTEE
I will replace at no charge any print that has been damaged in transit.
LIFETIME FADE-FREE GUARANTEE
These are museum-grade prints printed on archival-quality Premium Luster or Fine-Art Velvet papers, and I use state-of-the-art pigments, adhesive materials, and mounting techniques in every step of the display process. As such, these prints are expected not to show any fading under normal display conditions for more than a century. I will replace at no charge any prints which have faded under normal display conditions throughout the lifetime of the original owner.
All images are printed on either Epson Ultra Premium Luster or Epson Fine Art Velvet papers, both of which are 100% acid-free, museum-grade display mediums. All images are printed using an Epson SureColor P800 Large-Format Inkjet Printer, or an Epson SureColor P7000 Large Format Printer, using advanced MicroPiezo TFP™ precision print heads and Epson UltraChrome® HDR pigmented inks. All images are rated to last more than 100 years which is well beyond the lifetime of the original buyer. These assertions in regards to image permanence are fully-backed by the lab testings of both Aardenburg Imaging & Archives as well as Wilhelm Imaging Research. You can choose to order your prints matted and backed, or you can buy the prints fully-matted, backed, and framed. Naturally, these options are priced differently, according to the duration of preparation time, packing and shipping times/cost, as well as the nature and quantity of materials needed. My pricing is as follows:
MATTED & BACKED IMAGES:
~ No Frame ~
Ordering images that are matted and backed (with no frame) is the most popular way in which to order. (I do not sell just “the image only,” because proper matting and backing, using only the highest standards, is vital to the longevity of your ordered image). Therefore, I personally mat and back each of my images using only the finest archival-standard industry techniques. Each image is first printed and hand-signed with both Provenance and Copyright information stamped on the back, in accordance with archival standards. The properly-prepared image is then mounted with acid-free linen archival materials to a museum-quality, acid-free archival matting board, which is itself hinged with acid-free linen tape to the appropriate archival-quality mat. I then hand-sign the front of the mat itself just under the photo (toward the right), with a hand-written description of the image provided on the mat just under the photo (toward the left). I use a gold-colored archival pen for this purpose with acid-free, permanent, pigmented ink. My own recommendation is that you order your image matted and backed, but to do the actual framing yourself at home (or through a professional local to you). Ordering without the frame will save you money and will reduce the risk of damage in-transit because of not dealing with the issue of glass. If you decide to have me frame the image as well after this, hereare my prices:
FRAMED IMAGES:
Matted, Backed, and Framed
Again, for the final framing, I recommend using a framer near you. Your local framer not only can offer you many more options than I can, but he will probably save you money as well. Framing at home allows you to the choose the frame-color and style that best fit your tastes as well as that best match the colors of your home interior and furnishings. However, if you prefer that I handle the framing, the frames I use are professional heavy duty matte black aluminum with all-metal connectors. The glass I use is Tru Vue Premium with 45% UV blocking, 90% light transmission. The light reflection less than 8%.
Please keep in mind that each image will have a border around it (½- to 2-inches wide depending on print size) so that the print size will be slightly smaller than the listed image size. This is the industry standard, simply because a border is required to effectively mount the photograph to the backing board. By default, all prints are stamped on the back with Provenance Information (Title, Location and Date, Printer used, Paper used, as well as Ink used), with Copyright Information likewise provided by stamp, after which I hand-sign the back of the print for authenticity. Again, after I I prepare the image I then mount it after which I hand-sign the mat itself on the front, just under the image-opening (with or without a frame). The gold-colored archival pen that I use doesn’t fade or damage the print. (Personalized inscriptions or messages are also possible.)
For custom sizes, please inquire. Preparation time is between one and two weeks. Faster express orders are possible, though additional charges will apply. The paper type I print on can also be customized, spanning a wide range of materials such as Watercolor Paper, Canvas, Glossy or Semi-Glossy papers. Moreover, the colors can be adjusted to a wide range of tones, such as Black & White or Sepia, for example. The prices on custom orders will depend on the details. If you have custom printing requirements, or if you have entirely different needs for your images (such as for books, promotional use, digitial licensing, etc.), then my pricing will be likewise be assessed on a useage basis. In cases like these, please email me for particulars.
